PG&E Claims Checks Bounce

Many PG&E customers who suffered from the devastating fires in Northern California were unable to cash compensation checks issued by the California utility giant. The San Francisco-based company declared bankruptcy in January 2019, as it may be liable for billions of dollars’ worth of damages caused by wildfires that blazed throughout California last year. Dozens of checks issued to PG&E customers have bounced in light of the company’s bankruptcy announcement.
