PG&E Seeks to Establish Trust Fund for Camp Fire Victims

Just two days after Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) filed for bankruptcy amid claims that the company was responsible for starting the Camp Fire in Northern California last fall, PG&E has now suggested that it may establish a trust fund to begin compensating victims. The trust fund would be funded “in various ways,” and aims to expedite payments to victims of the wildfires while the bankruptcy is ongoing.
