Water Contamination in Camp Fire Burn Area

State officials of Butte County, California have warned residents not to use tap water due to possible contamination following the Camp Fire. Unsafe levels of bacteria and chemicals were found in recent tests of storm water runoff. Officials are recommending that Camp Fire victims with shallow wells have their water tested for pollutants such as iron and aluminum.
